NEDFi and National Informatics Centre with assistance from North Eastern Council has created a regional resource database for the North Eastern Region (NER). The main objectives are :

• To attract fresh investment and entrepreneurial initiative by providing up to date data on the resources and infrastructure of the NER;
• To make data available at a single source and also on the internet;
• To encourage research interests on the NER;
• To classify and organize data uniformly in the NER;
• To cut down costs for the region as a whole in terms of time and money spent on data collection and tabulation by avoiding duplication of effort.

Industrial policies of all N.E. states, Central Govt. incentives to N.E. states, incentives/schemes of different nodal agencies which can be directly availed by an individual, a company, an N.G.O. or a Co-operative society

8. Viable technologies for the North Eastern Region :

Information on viable technologies invented by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) laboratories, technologies suggested by Assam Productivity Council and project profiles prepared by Small Industries Development Bank of India; information on plant and machinery for viable industries in North Eastern Region; technical infrastructure (Industrial Research Institutes, Institutional support)
