North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) is a Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act 1956 on 9th August, 1995. The shareholders of the Corporation are IDBI, SBI, LICI, SIDBI, ICICI, IFCI, SUUTI, GIC and its subsidiaries.
NEDFi provides financial assistance to micro, small, medium and large enterprises for setting up industrial, infrastructure and agri-allied projects in the North Eastern Region of India and also Microfinance through MFI/NGOs.
NEDFi Venture Capital Limited (NVCL), is formed with the objective of acting as Investment Manager to Venture Funds. NVCL was incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 on 2nd August 2016.
NVCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited(NEDFi),
Investments in startups, early stage & growth stage companies., Invest in new products and technologies, Invest in innovative business models with superior value proposition and potential for high growth in earnings and profitability, To contribute to the entrepreneurship development of the North Eastern Region.
For holistic development of the entrepreneurs, NEDFi provides ranges of other services in addition to financing MSMEs. These includes mentoring of entrepreneurs in terms of setting up of unit, expansion, exposure visit, market linkage, business plan preparation, market intelligence, awareness about various schemes and policies of government, model project profiles and sectoral insights.
BFC provides guidance in Managerial, Technical, Financial, Commercial & Marketing and for preparation of DPR and credit linkages in places where professional Project Consultants are not available. The Mentors at BFC are trained on the facilities offered by NEDFi including its financial schemes of MSE which will also help them in facilitating credit support to the deserving entrepreneurs. The Mentors are also trained in policies and incentives given by different Govt. agencies.
NEDFi’s Advisory & Consultancy Department provides multi-disciplinary consulting services to industrial, infrastructure and social development projects in the North East of India. With a team of professionals in the fields of Management, Engineering, Agriculture, Legal and Finance we deliver high quality services for our clients which include Central and State Governments, Public and Private Sector companies, Public Utilities, Multi-lateral funding agencies, Investors and Developers
